[Ray laughing]

ray: Listen,
my mom was just here,
and we were talking,
and it hit me.
I was. I was being
competitive.
About amy and robert
and my mom, and...
I'm sorry.
Really sorry.
All right.
I mean, you know,
who cares what
your mom thinks?
You're right.
You are. You're right.
In fact, you should
hear the reason
why she likes amy
more than you.
Ohh. [Laughing]
Oh, man. She's nuts,
that lady.
Why?
What did she say?
First of all, did you know
that amy has never...
[Clicking his tongue]
Huh?
She's--she's saving up
for later.
That's supposed
to be a secret.
Who told you that?
My mom.
She did?
Yeah, can you believe it?
That's it!
That's her whole reason.
Because amy's a--
good girl. Good girl.
That's what she's calling her,
a good girl.
[Ray laughing]
Oh, my god.
It's so shallow.
What can I do?
I can't exactly

The rich Get Richer

Coming up, money talks and
when the really rich are ready
to fly, money lets them turn
every day flight into fantasy.
Like this billionaire who wants
to take a shower at 35,000 feet.
Or this millionaireesse that
built the longest runway so the
friends and flying palaces can
land for a visit, including this
guy.
Whether it's a short haul for
rock stars, or long hauls for a
king, see how the other half
gets to travel, next on "fantasy
flight."
If you're a
billionaire on the fly, and say
you're looking for a place to
throw an extravagant dinner
party with maybe 24 karat gold
plated sinks, then we found the
plane for you.
It doesn't even have a name.
Only a manufacturer's number.
But the company does have a
name.
And it's a well deserved.
Palace air.
Joe stewart is director of
aviation.

A boeing 727-200.
The stretched version of the
727-100.
We purchased the aircraft with
184 standard passenger seats.
We gutted all the seats, gutted
the entire interior.
Turned into a 3-year project.

Now we heard that
heads of state often use this
unnamed plane.
But joe's not talking.

At this point, i can't tell
you that.
The aircraft is known for its
privacy.
So we don't give out that
information.

What joe will talk
about is the plane itself and
why they can get away with
calling their planes palaces.

The unique features are it
has private dining room.
A full service ga lee.
The wood is inlaid with elm
burrow and highlighted with
mahogany throughout the aircraft
and it has up to 23 coats of
lacquer on it.
Private bathroom.
With a full shower.
Every piece of metal you see on
the aircraft is 24 karat gold
plated and even the toilet bowls
on the aircraft are 24 karat
gold plated.

A new Poem I wrote

seven days a week.
Thinking of those people
pleading for their lives on
those tapes we saw out in iraq,
it's just a kind of burden
that's imposed on the human
spirit, never mind the tragedy
endured by these families.
And i do wonder if in some
ways we will be seen as a lost
generation that was really
dealing with both enormous
progress and also these
terrible tragedies.
>> Reporter: All right.
Ellen, richard, michael, thank
you all three very much.
The time unfortunately is
sliping a way like the year.
Thank you.
Happy new year to all three of
you.
>> Warner: Finally tonight,
kudos for a jazz master.
Arts correspondent jeffrey brown
has that story.
>> No complaints
and no regrets
( applause )
I still believe
in chasing dreams
and placing bets...
>> Reporter: At washington,
D.C.'S, kennedy center recently,
a concert to celebrate the life
of jazz great shirley horn.
Health problems have now forced
the 70-year-old singer and
pianist to use a wheelchair, but
not kept her from performing and
recording.
>> And if you can't
take it easy
take it easy as you can...
>> Reporter: Horn has long been
adored by musicians and lovers
of vocal jazz.
Now, reaching to the wider
public, the national endowment
for the arts has named her a
"jazz master," along with fellow
honorees including artie shaw
and kenny burrell.
On this night, a group of
musicians young and old came out
to pay tribute, and play songs
that horn has recorded in her
50-year career.
An old friend, saxophonist buck
hill, performed "a beautiful
friendship."
( Saxophone playing )
violinist regina carter, who's
equally adept in classical music
and jazz, played "too late now."
( Violin playing )
and jeremy pelt soloed on "you
won't forget me."

played in shirley horn's 1991
album of that name.

Why not?

This gold plated lu might be the
most expensive on any fantasy
flight we have found.
If all that weren't enough,
there's a conference room.

The chairs also can be swifed
and moved.
So people can lay down, relax.

And another dining
room where it turns into beds.
But what if you want a little
mood in the flying palace?
Well, just flick this switch.
And you have stars or dawn.
Even a dusk.

One of the unique features of
this aircraft is the skylight
that we haƱ fashioned using the
artist that painted the sky in
the fashion show mall that's
located at cesar's palace.
In addition, there were stars
put in this that actually are
constellations from the actual
sky.
Probably the best feature of
this entire aircraft is the
master bedroom.
It's very unique for an aircraft
to have a bedroom.

A bedroom may be
useful for those to wake up
refreshed the next day.

Got a queen sized bed with a
duvan that people can either
take a nap or sleep for the
hours that we are flying at
night.

The cost for
passengers is $7500 per hour for
domestic flight.
And up to $13 an hour for
international flights.

Some cases, this aircraft is
actually more nicely apointed
than air force one.

The technology today in some
of the new private jets allow
for some options.
That is a missile warning
defense system that can be
installed on the aircraft.
A lot of the heads of state, a
lot of the kings, a lot of these
affluent ceos flying on the
aircrafts are taken every step
they can to protect themselves
and their families.

Which is why many
choose palace air but try to get
out of joe what heads of state
he's flown and he'll only tell
you --

Yes, we have flown heads of
states, presidents of countries,
but i can't say who.

Okay.
So we won't get the goods on
this one.
And while who flies is
impressive, the real surprise is
what else they demand.

One meal for 12 people will
run as high as $13,000.
Serving caviar, only the best
champagne, and only the best
steak, lobster, any other food
that you might want.

Tuesday, August 01, 2006

That's service.

Yes, the meals cost
more than an hour of flight
time.
In addition, they'll host
preflight cocktail parties for
you and your friends.
But maybe the biggest luxury of
all.

We depart on time or the
designated time of the
passenger.
We don't have the transportation
security issues that you deal
with at an airport.
You come to the aircraft.
We are ready for you.
Your bags on board before you
get here and we take off and
treat you like a first class
passenger that you are.

No baggage, a sky
in the sky.
All in a palace flying six miles
above the earth.
Not a bad way to fly.
Coming up, would you allow this
on your fantasy flight?

During the flight, one of the
kids took out the hockey stick
and started to beat on the
lavatory door.

We'll tell you who
did.
Later, what really happens when
they take the fantasy flight?
Find out when we return.

Five-star hotel
service.
You got to love it.
But what if you could get that
same service several miles up in
the air?
When you can award a fantasy
flight, that's just what you
get.

There are a couple of benefit
that is go with flying on a
private jet.
Anonymity.
To go where you would like to go
without anybody else knowing ..
from a standpoint of luxury,
most of the aircraft nowadays
are equipped with satellite
television.
Satellite phones.
Dvd players.
High speed internet.
Playstations.
Beds that have 700 thread count
sheets and feather pillows with
cashmere blankets.
Those are the types of things
our customers are asking for.
The real high end luxury items
they can buy in the stores vane
in their car they can have on
their private jets.

You have to be rich
to have this kind of high flying
pampering.
Well, not just rich.
You have to be very, very rich.
But if you don't want to fork
over the $40 million that it
costs to own the big ones, you
timeshare.
And you'll be surprised at who
does.

Our clients are the
billionaires of los angeles, the
established producers, directors
and actors.
The real a-list people that fly
with us.

For these a-listers
it is like joining that you are
own private, flying club without
the hassles of maintenance.

Buying a fractional share in
an aircraft has a lot of upfront
cost that is are involved.
In order to buy a quart share of
a gulf stream four, our upfront
costs are upwards of $10 to $12
million and then you would have
a monthly management fee and
then an occupied hourly rate.
So, it's very similar to charter
where you would call and
schedule your flights when you
want to fly on the aircraft but
now you're actually sharing
ownership with other
individuals.

But joining this
air club doesn't come cheap.

They spend $500,000 and $2
million a year with us.
It breaks down to hourly price
somewhere between 5 and $6,000
an hour.

We have seen
penthouses that cost 5,000 or
$10,000 a night.
But $5,000 an hour for a flight?
Now, that's rich.
We had to ask.
What do these wealthy fliers get
for the price?
Number one, let's check out the
aircraft.

We chose the gulf streams
because they're the safest, most
reliable aircraft built.
The gulf stream five is probably
the finest aircraft in the sky
including airliners.

This is one of the largest
private jets, flying the fastest
and highest.
I marvel at it.
I get a throttle pushing the
throttles forward for air
takeoff.

They make sure it's
ready any time you want it.

With the limited client base
in the program, we can have an
airplane ready in 45 minutes.
We can have an airplane
available any time day or night.

But is it really worth $2
million a year?
Time to dig a little deeper.
This jet comes as a car dealer
might say fully loaded.
Included in the price, how about
a private chef?

Thursday, July 27, 2006

They were blown away.

We do not use caters food on
the planes.
We have flight attendants to go
to gourmet cooking school.
And we have guest celebrity chef
that is come and cook on the
planes.
Today we have suzanne track from
jar restaurant just written up
as one of the 207 restaurants in
los angeles preparing the food
for this flight.

Right now I'm preparing a
lobster salad.
We have the maine lobster, mint,
red yun yun, grapefruit and
fresh sven nell.
Enjoy.

Thank you.

Remember, this is
happening miles above ground in
a kitchen the size of most
peoples' closets.
But susan's a pro, and when you
lay out that kind of dough, well
you expect at least a
three-course meal.
And for the third course?

This is a dish, main dish
preparing today for our flight
and this is actually from the
cap of a ribeye of beef, prime
ribeye of beef.
We took the cap and rolled it
with sweet gorgonzolo and
serving it with a salad.

Oh, boy.

Huh?

Wow.

And a az mag meal
isn't complete without a
beverage.
Check out the house wine.
On a plane.
It comes with a price of
admission.

We have a very extensive wine
collection for the aircraft.
Anything from 1950s and '60 pet
rirxs to the finest american
wines.
With the champagne, we have what
the client would want.
It can be anything from a
cristol a very rare champagne to
go great lengths to find.

Gourmet food and
drink.
Not bad.
This private gulf stream is also
decked out to the max but we are
not sure if it's worth $2
million a year.
So what else do wealthy fliers
get on this private ride?

One of the other things we
provide on the flights is mini
spa treatments while the clients
are flying.
We have an on-staffest te tirn.

Just like a luxury
hotel, you can get a spa
treatment in your room.
30,000 feet in the air.
And if you're a couple with kids
there's another way to relax
while flying.
Forget about keeping little yon
entertained for hours.
Trans exec has an on-board
babysitter.

Are you ticklish?
Are you ticklish?

Our cabins divide into two
separate areas so the children
can be back drawing and playing
with the flight attendant or
watching moou vis or playing
while the couple's up front
eating a very nice dinner.

The list of
services on this flight goes on
and on.
And the price of flying 0en this
private jet seems to make more
and more sense.

We have the finest linens.
We have 400 thread count sheets.
We provide them with a little
goody bag appropriate to the
destination.
I spend many nights trying to
think of new things to do on the
airplaneS.

So what happens if
someone wants to raid the
refrigerator on a late-night
flight?

We had a client that wanted
to have cajun food.
We flew the airplane to new
orleans and had the most famous
chef in new orleans come out to
the plane, personally cook the
food on board.

So maybe this over
the top service does add up.
But are there really enough
billionaires and
multimillionaires to keep this
plane flying?

The Eraser Lyircs - Thom Yorke

Please excuse me but I got to ask
Are you only being nice
Because you want something
My fairytale are recent
Because of how you respond
Because you'd not end up in this song
I never gave you any encouragement
And it's doing me in
Doing me in
Doing me in
Doing me in

The more you try to erase me
The more the more
The more that I appear
The more the more
The more I try to erase you
The more the more
The more that you appear

You know all the answers
So why do you ask?
I am only being nice
Because I want someone, something
You're like a kitten with a ball of yarn
And it's doing me in
Doing me in
Doing me in
Doing me in

The more you try to erase me
The more the more
The more that I appear
The more the more.
The more I try to erase you
The more the more
The more that you appear

No you are wrong!
You are wrong!
You are wrong!
You are wrong!
You are wrong!
You are wrong!
You're wrong!
